Toddler Assistant Teacher

We Are Looking For
A dedicated and caring Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team. This individual will support our lead teachers and director, contributing to a warm and dynamic learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Children: Assist children with daily needs, including toilet training, ensuring safety, and addressing their social, emotional, and physical needs.
- Assisting Teachers: Support lead teachers by preparing activities, managing diaper changes, overseeing feeding times, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Supporting Students: Guide students through activities, monitor their responses, and work with them individually or in small groups.
- Creating a Safe Environment: Contribute to a caring and secure atmosphere, document observations, complete assessments, and checklists.
- Additional Tasks: Prepare and serve meals, change diapers, write daily reports, record attendance, engage in play, assist with nap times, set out snacks, prepare craft materials, manage a daily schedule with structured activities and breaks, observe children for any concerns, and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Requirements
- CDA (Child Development Associate) Certificate as a minimum requirement.
- Excellent communication, listening, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for working with toddlers and a strong commitment to their development and well-being.
- Previous experience in a daycare or early childhood education setting preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking is a plus).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, engage in physical play, and stand for extended periods.
- Background checks and health screenings as required by state regulations.
