Group Teacher

As a Group Teacher at GOMS, you will play an essential role in guiding children’s exploration and growth through a hands-on, child-centered approach. The Center serves infants through Pre-k children, and we are looking for a compassionate, attentive individual who understands the importance of a nurturing and safe environment for young learners to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning Facilitation: Plan and implement engaging activities that encourage exploration and growth in areas like language, math, music, art, and physical development.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a warm, organized, and child-centered classroom environment that allows children to freely explore and express their creativity.
- Social and Emotional Development: Support children’s social skills by modeling respectful interactions, guiding conflict resolution, and fostering friendships.
- Physical Care and Safety: Oversee meal times, assist with hygiene routines, and ensure a clean, safe learning space that meets health standards.
- Observation and Documentation: Document each child’s progress and share these insights with parents to support individualized learning and development.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a child-centered, low-ratio classroom setting.
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ADHD and autism is a plus, reflecting our commitment to inclusive care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in activities with children, lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in floor-based play.
- Background checks and health screenings as required by state regulations.
